Why I Do This

Years ago, I found myself stuck. I was physically, emotionally, and mentally drained.

What started as an illness eventually became a kind of system shutdown: fatigue, anxiety, chronic symptoms that made no sense, and no clear way forward.

The medical system offered little beyond: “Learn to live with it.”

I didn’t accept that.

Instead, I went deep into understanding how the nervous system works — how unresolved stress, trauma, patterns and unconscious loops can keep us trapped in cycles of symptoms, exhaustion, fear and stuckness.

Over time, I discovered a way through.
Not by forcing or fixing — but by helping the system finally feel safe enough to reset.

Today, I help people who feel stuck in:

  • Chronic anxiety or overthinking

  • Physical symptoms with no clear cause

  • Fatigue, burnout, gut issues

  • Cycles of frustration that won’t seem to shift no matter how hard they try

The common thread is the same:
Your system is doing exactly what it believes it needs to do to protect you — but sometimes that protection becomes the problem.

What I do is help your system unlearn those patterns — gently, safely, and in a way that leads to real change.

I remember well the resistence to starting out on this journey, but I’ll leave you with a Japanese proverb which I love. It goes something like “the best time to plant a tree was 30 years ago, the second best time is now.”

My background
I’ve trained across multiple approaches that work directly with the nervous system and unconscious patterns, including clinical hypnotherapy, somatic methods, chronic fatigue and pain protocols, and gut-focused work.

But every client is different. My job is to help you find what your system needs to finally move forward.

Why I do this

Years ago, I found myself stuck. Not stuck in the ordinary sense — physically, mentally, drained in a way that made no sense against how I was living.

It started as an illness and became something closer to a full system shutdown. Bloating, urgency, a body I couldn’t predict from one day to the next. I cut out foods until my “safe list” was almost nothing. I saw doctor after doctor. The answer I kept getting, in one form or another, was learn to live with it.

I didn’t accept that.

Instead I went deep into how the nervous system actually works — how the gut and brain are in constant conversation, and how that conversation can get stuck on a false alarm until your body starts treating ordinary digestion like a threat to defend against.

I found a way through. Not by forcing anything or fixing myself through sheer willpower, but by helping my own system feel safe enough to stop bracing.

Your gut is doing exactly what it believes it needs to do to protect you. Sometimes that protection becomes the problem.

Today I work exclusively with people whose IBS hasn’t responded to diet changes, medication, or the usual advice — people who’ve already done the sensible things and are still stuck.

I remember the resistance to starting this work myself. I’ll leave you with a proverb I’ve come back to more than once: the best time to plant a tree was thirty years ago. The second best time is now.

My background
My training is specifically in gut-brain retraining for IBS, alongside broader work in nervous system regulation and applied psychology. I draw on that training, and on what I learned the hard way recovering from my own IBS.
