The Western Protocol – How it Works
Twelve weeks of deep, tranformative work for people whose IBS hasn’t shifted with diet, medication, or sheer willpower and are open to a new way of looking at their condition.
Is this you?
- ✓Symptoms for 12 months or more without a real improvement
- ✓Anxious about travel, meetings or plans because of your gut
- ✓Tried diet changes, supplements or medication — relief never lasts
- ✓A shrinking list of foods that feel “safe”
- ✓High-achieving and driven, more used to solving problems than sitting with them
Who is this for?
This is for stressed professionals who want real, lasting change with their gut issues, burnout or constant anxiety, not another way to manage them. If you’re after another set of relaxation videos to add to the pile, this isn’t it. It’s deep work, occasionally uncomfortable, for people who are done planning their life around their gut.
What’s included
Deep 1:1 work
Combining gut-brain retraining, gut-directed hypnotherapy and nervous system-focused coaching, tailored to your pattern.
A private audio library
Guided retraining recordings to listen to between sessions, reinforcing the work at home.
Nutritional therapy
Insights into how to use nutrition to support your goals, without becoming restrictive (this is personalised).
Nervous system support
Learn how to understand and support your nervous system to come out of fight or flight.
Neuroplasticity exercises
Practical exercises to interrupt the automatic patterns your brain has learned around food, symptoms and fear, so new responses can take hold.
Somatic therapy
Work with body sensation directly, not just the story around it, so the physical patterns underneath the anxiety start to shift too.
Breathwork
Specific breathing patterns to shift your body out of a stress state in real time, not just as a general relaxation practice.
Experiencing unfelt anger
Trapped anger, even if you don’t consciously feel it, can show up as gut symptoms and constant anxiety.
Trauma release exercises
Learn to release trauma without reliving it.
Support between sessions
Message me with questions as they come up — you’re not waiting a week to raise something that’s bothering you.
A structured 12-week arc
Each phase builds on the last — calm the signal, retrain the response, then rebuild trust in your gut.
My guarantee
I care about your results more than anything else. You get my full attention, not a seat in a group programme or a set of generic recordings played back at you. This is a significant amount of 1:1 time, built around your specific pattern, not a script.
If you don’t feel like you’re getting real value in the first two weeks, you can leave for a full refund, and a personal apology letter from me.

Questions
How is this different from an IBS app?
There are several issues with IBS apps. Firstly, most people don’t stick to them. Secondly, the approach is generic and shallow, which just leads to more wasted time. Pre-recorded sessions can be useful, but they imply that because you have the same symptoms your issue is the same. I’ve yet to see two clients who have exactly the same issue. It just so happens that their body reacts to deeper issues by shutting down digestion (constipation – IBS-C) or creating loose stool (IBS-D). That doesn’t mean the solution should be copy pasted.
Do I need to change my diet?
The focus of the programme is on getting more flow in your life, so dietary restriction is not a focus. Some dietary changes will be discussed in line with your personal preferences and unique situation, but always in a way that adds value to you quickly.
How does this compare to gut-directed hypnotherapy
This programme includes elements of gut-directed hypnotherapy, but also goes much deeper to look at the emotional and energetic root causes, rather than just focusing on symptoms/visualisations. Most gut-directed programmes I see are quite surface level.
Is it safe alongside my current treatment or medication?
Yes. This works alongside medication and dietary approaches. If you are regularly taking stimulant medication, such as ADHD medication, however, the approach isn’t appropriate.
How do sessions work?
Everything runs online via video call, so you can do this from wherever you are without travel or waiting rooms.
Can you guarantee it’ll work?
No, and I’d be wary of anyone who tells you they can. What I can tell you is that the clients who show up with an open mind and do the work tend to see real change (I offer a full refund and have never needed to offer one). Getting you back to living your life without planning around your gut is the whole point of this for me.
What if my tests have all come back normal?
That’s the most common starting point, not an unusual one. A normal test doesn’t mean nothing’s wrong it means the problem isn’t in the structure of your gut, it’s in how your gut and your nervous system are communicating with each other. That’s exactly what this programme addresses.
What if I have SIFO/SIBO, candida, or another infection I can’t shift?
This is also very common. I see these issues as downstream of the root cause. For example, SIBO is often impacted by low stomach acid due to stress. When people don’t respond to SIBO treatment, they often respond to this.
It’s a friendly conversation to help you evaluate your options.
